ROCHAS Show - Women's Collection Autumn/Winter 2018/19 in Paris (with interview)

Creative Director: Alessandro Dell'AcquaInspiration: The bourgeois elegance of Rochas proposes a wardrobe full of daywear. Whilst the designer has in previous season, redefined everything with a palette of romantic sheath dresses, he uses this collection to propose a new silhouette, to be worn instantly, with a seventies accent, and always with a touch of brightness. Collection: the first silhouette, a suit with rounded shoulders, a double breasted jacket and loose trousers in double cashmere, sets the tone. Followed by enveloping coats, shorts jackets coordinated with trousers or midi length skirts, beautiful leather pieces, notably with a brown dress, buttoned with pockets at the front, a purple blouse knotted around the neck. The designer cannot escape adding golden brocade and sequins notably on a two-toned dress. To note: the big boots & snake boots with rhinestones heels, or vice-versa, floral embroidery scattered on several pieces, transparency and sensuality for several muslin dresses.Interview with Alessandro Dell'Acqua: I want to change the situation, usually Rochas is very elegant with cocktail dresses. This season I want a sport mood, also a masculine mood. But in super luxurious materials like double cashmere and other materials and for me this season is the new mood because I want daywear. It’s a bit seventies but at the end of the seventies, I like the little jacket with super super feminine pants, or a big man’s jacket and the pants are very skinny, very sexy, very sensual. I like this erotic side in this collection, bourgeois but erotic mood. Brocade is the Rochas material and this season I like mixing with the chiffon with a little flower print, very seventies, it’s in another mood.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
