Moncler continues to expand in the US, one of the markets where it's growing more vigorously. The Italian luxury group specialised in down jackets has recently opened a store in Costa Mesa, in the exclusive Orange County area, 31 miles south of Los Angeles. The new store is located inside South Coast Plaza, the West Coast's largest shopping mall.

South Coast Plaza is also one of the area's chief luxury brand destinations, as it is already home to several significant labels, such as Chanel and Céline. The Moncler store is on the second level, right between Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana.

It showcases Moncler's menswear and womenswear lines, as well as a large selection of accessories. The interiors, featuring a floor of grey marble and smoked oak wainscoting, have been designed by architects Gilles & Boissier, who have been working with the brand for several years.

As of June 30th 2015, Moncler numbered 184 mono-brand stores worldwide, 153 of which are directly owned. In particular, the label operates 14 stores on the American continent, where sales for the first six months of the year leapt by 69% at constant exchange rates (+98% at current exchange rates). After the publication of its semester results last July, Moncler underlined that this was "due to the excellent results achieved in the USA and Canada, in both sales channels (retail and wholesale)."
