Kildare Village showcases emerging Irish designers
today Apr 28, 2015
Kildare Village, an outlet centre located outside Dublin, is currently showcasing an exhibition entitled "In the Fold," which displays the works of emerging Irish fashion designers.
In the Fold explores how "young Irish graduates use fashion as a creative response to their environment and reveals how cultural identity is formed and refined by what is around us." The show is held together with Irish Design 2015 (ID2015) and the designers taking part are Rory Parnell Mooney, Michael Stewart, Caoimhe Mac Naoise , Richard Malone, Jocelyn Murray Boyne, Oliver Duncan and Laura Kinsella.
In the Fold launched at London Fashion Week earlier this year but this is the first time it has been shown in Ireland. It began last week and runs through the month of May. Kildare Village will also hold a number of events in May, letting visitors engage with the designers.
