After being acquired by Italian investment fund Clessidra in the spring, the Roberto Cavalli fashion label continues to strengthen its management team. Steered by new CEO Renato Semerari, with Francesco Trapani as President, in May the label re-appointed Carlo di Biagio as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Now it has completed its team by entrusting the merchandising directorship to Barbara Cortesi.

Cortesi comes from Gucci, where she served as Merchandising Director for women's footwear and ready-to-wear apparel, as well as for childrenswear. The Italian manager boasts extensive experience in the luxury industry, having taken on senior roles with Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada

"Merchandising plays a strategic role for Roberto Cavalli," pointed out Francesco Trapani. "Now we just have to recruit a Commercial Director," he concluded.
