In spite of the cold and complications with transport, Première Vision Pluriel (Expofil, Première Vision, Indigo, Le cuir à Paris, ModAmont, Zoom by Fatex) announced a year-on-year rise of 6% in the number of visitors. Between 9-12 February buyers were able to see what was on offer from over 1,500 exhibitors at the exhibition hall in Villepinte.

Première Vision and Expo Fil each saw an increase of 5% in the number of visitors from February 2009. In total, the organisers recorded 40,870 visitors, with the proportion of foreign visitors rising to 71%. “We have lost a bit less than 10% of exhibitors as compared to before the crisis,” said Philippe Pasquet, President of Première Vision. “But we haven’t looked to compensate for the disappearance of companies. For this edition, we have only had ten new exhibitors. The selection committee has remained particularly vigilant.” The next Première Vision Pluriel has been announced for 14-16 September, being spread over three days rather than the traditional four. “The idea of the three days is that they are adapted to modern times,” commented Thomas Dislich, President of Vicunha Europe.
