The designer was recently selected as a finalist for the prestigious LVMH and ANDAM award and received the Pierre Bergé Prize.

During this podcast, Anthony Alvarez took the opportunity to talk about his unconventional career path. He also spoke about the evolution of his Paris-based brand Blue Marble, named after the first picture taken of Earth in 1992, as well as about his main sources of inspiration and the important role of digitalization in fashion.

The New York native was born to a Filipino and Spanish father and a French-Italian mother. The designer, who launched his brand in 2017, draws his inspiration for his collections from his travels by observing the customs, craftsmanship and culture of the cities he's visited. Blue Marble, which now has 25 boutiques worldwide, prides itself on being a colorful brand that unapologetically pays tribute to multiculturalism and diversity.
