Playtime, the show dedicated to the world of children, has added its name to the list of trade events forced to cancel their winter editions, which includes lingerie show SIL, Interfilière, Premium and Pure London. In the midst of the global health crisis, Playtime has cancelled the sessions scheduled for January 2021 in Paris, New York and Shanghai. Organiser Picaflor has indicated that the event's next physical editions are set to be held next summer.

The forthcoming winter session of the Playtime shows will therefore be staged online, a format the event is proficient at, since it launched its own virtual B2B platform more than five years ago. Picaflor has already had to cancel this year’s summer editions, but stated that 360 exhibitors took part in the virtual summer shows, selling 17,365 different products. Website traffic grew by 362%, with 3,700 buyers. The platform used by Picaflor Editions also serves fashion trade shows White Milan and View Paris, allowing buyers to have online access to a range of different professional events.

For January 2021, Picaflor Editions will present a new version of its marketplace, featuring “enhanced support, more powerful tools to engage exhibitors and buyers, including those to stage video meetings, renewed content, personalised suggestions and new presentation formats,” as the organiser indicated.
