"Confidence, fearlessness, and individuality make up the core of who we are, but size inclusivity was not always part of the conversation," the company said, in an Instagram post.

"Safe to say, we were overdue for a change. Which is why we’re excited to finally introduce our new fall capsule–a super rad lineup of transitional pieces, now available in an extended size range."

Reactions to Nasty Gal's announcement were mixed on social media, with some claiming that the size range is still restrictive by contemporary standards.

"F**k all the way off @NastyGal," one user tweeted. "Y’all still don’t like fat people. If you did, you’d realize that fatness is above a size 18 and bad fatties deserve clothing, too. No matter how much you hate them. Oh and fatness is a party BUT YOURE NOT INVITED."

Others showed public praise to the retailer, which was formally founded by #girlboss creator Sophia Amoruso in 2008.

"NASTY GAL HAS PLUS SIZES NOW !!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY !!!!!!!" tweeted another user.

The collection was photographed on model and influencer Alessandra Garcia Lorido, a reported size 12.

With this new capsule collection, Nasty Gal Joins retailers like Kohl's and New York & Company (soon to be RTW Retailwinds) as they incorporate more inclusive and plus-sized apparel into their product range.
