Marcolin and Montblanc have announced the extension of their partnership agreement for eyewear, ahead of its expiration. The Italian eyewear manufacturer owned by investment fund PAI, and the luxury German label Montblanc (writing instruments, watches) have renewed their worldwide licence agreement for the design, manufacture and distribution of Montblanc's eyeglasses and sunglasses lines, the two companies stated in a press release, without specifying the length of the new term.

A first agreement had been signed between the two companies in 2001. The new deal, struck before the initial agreement's expiration, includes an extension of the current partnership's term.

Marcolin produces and distributes several eyewear collections under licence for major brands such as Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2, Diesel, Ermenegildo Zegna and Emilio Pucci.
