While rumours are growing about a possible collaboration between Raf Simons and Miu Miu (perhaps to relaunch the menswear line), the latter has filled a key slot in its senior management team. The Prada group’s label targeting younger consumers has in fact appointed Benedetta Petruzzo as its new CEO.

The post had been vacant since last summer, following the departure of Maria Cristina Lomanto, who joined the Tod’s group to take charge of luxury footwear label Roger Vivier.

Petruzzo was previously based in the USA, where she was executive vice-president of Kering Eyewear. She has also worked for consultancy firm Bain & Co, having begun her business career in the finance sector after a degree in economics.

Miu Miu’s latest published results, for H1 2019, showed an 8% sales decrease at constant exchange rates compared to the same period in 2018, down to €221 million.
