Michael Ward, presidency of ECCIA renewed

Michael Ward's mandate as president of the ECCIA has been renwed. The British executive, who was appointed president of the European Alliance of Creative and Cultural Industries in January 2014, succeeding Armando Branchini, saw his mandate renewed at the beginning of the year.

Michael Ward (58) began his career at Ernst and Young in 1980. After serving as the CFO of several companies, he joined major London department store Harrods in 2005, serving as its managing director. He is also a board member of Walpole, the British luxury association. 

"Michael Ward has a worldwide reputation as a luxury ambassador and is an exceptional business leader," said ECCIA, which serves as an umbrella group for the five main European luxury associations: Walpole, Comité Colbert, Fondazione Altagamma, Circulo Fortuny and Meisterkreis.
