Fashion industry managers are very 'social media'
Aug 27, 2015
Fashion rhymes with social media, according to a survey published this summer in Italy by Reputation Manager, a company specialising in the analysis of brands' online reputations.
Of 247 Italian managers from the food, fashion, design, engineering and chemical-pharmaceutical industries that were scrutinised, only 30 have an official social media profile. The preference goes to Twitter (46% of managers), then Linkedin (23%), Facebook (17%) and Instagram (14%).

Starting from these data, Reputation Manager crunched out a ranking of the 30 managers in Italian industry with the highest social media presence. Surprisingly, the first six places go to personalities from the fashion world.
The social media champion according to this ranking is Giuseppe Zanotti, the designer-entrepreneur who founded the luxury footwear brand by the same name. He's followed on the podium by designer Roberto Cavalli and by Renzo Rosso, founder of the Diesel denim brand.
In their wake we also find stylist Elisabetta Franchi, Margherita Missoni and Remo Ruffini, Moncler's boss. Meaning that, outside of fashion, Italy’s industrial leaders don't really pay much attention to the web's huge potential...
