“Un café, s’il vous plaît!” Coffee time is about to return to Paris, notably at Emporio Armani Caffè, which will reopen for business on May 19, the day when French authorities have finally authorized the use of restaurant and café terraces in the French capital.

Located in the tony Saint Germain district on the Left Bank, the brasserie-restaurant Emporio Armani Caffè has a sleek, all-black terrace, allowing its customers to dine, while respecting appropriate sanitary measures.

Back in 1998, the designer first opened his St Germain Emporio Armani Caffè, marking him as the first luxurious fashion brand to enter the gastronomic world. Subsequently, he added an Armani Ristorante in the interior, creating a unique concept store with two different restaurants. Giorgio’s up-market eatery eventually won a prestigious Michelin star in 2018.

“I always wanted the Armani brand to become an expression of style as a lifestyle, of sophisticated simplicity as a sign of elegance in every field, and food that is one of the most important elements of everyday life could not be missing,” says Armani, whose cafes and restaurants now served patrons on four continents, from Dubai and Tokyo to Munich and New York.

Though one of fashion’s most sophisticated designers, Armani is known to enjoy simple Italian fare, most notably pasta al pomodoro. However, guests can also enjoy more inventive Italian dishes from vitello tonnato to scallops with pumpkin-infused cream. If not on the idyllic terrasse, then delivery service is available day and night.

Call it click-and-collect culinary couture.
