Casio G-Shock announced this week a new collaboration with legendary New York City street artist Stash. The limited edition GA100ST-2A will launch exclusively at Concepts NYC and Boston on May 4, 2017, and the watch will launch globally on May 6.

Born in Long Island in 1967, Stash is considered one of New York’s graffiti legends and pivotal to the early 1980s East Village scene. At age 17, he exhibited his first canvases alongside Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and he created his last underground piece with Zephyr in 1987. Brands such as Nike, Burton, A Bathing Ape and Medicom toy have tapped Stash for collaborations.

Stash has been a fan of G-Shock since the late 1980s. G-Shock and the artist partnered to create the watch that features a black on black print of aerosol caps and a blue splash pattern on the band, and is packaged in a one-of-a-kind spray can.

“The community embraced G-SHOCK way early on because of the style, the ruggedness,” said Stash. “They started in the early 80's so they have a history and a legacy that has always resonated deeply with me.”

The GA100ST-2A, which retails for $170, also features 200M water resistance, an auto LED light, world time, 4 alarms, a speed indicator, a stopwatch and a countdown timer.

G-Shock has partnered with artists in the past such as Futura, and with brands and designers such as Robert Geller, In4mation and Midnight Studios.
