One Ocean, a clean beauty brand that has secured the first ever beauty company equity investment from The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has launched with a sustainable wellness collection.

One Ocean's sustainable and socially-conscious product line centers around a skin care system relying on marine microorganisms and single cells which purportedly have anti-aging properties. Products in the skin system include an eye revival moisturizing cream, a purifying cleanser, serum and moisturizer. In addition to topical products, the company is launching a line of marine-derived nutritional supplements.

The launch collection is free from GMOs, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, PEGs, nanoparticles, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance. It is sourced from marine environments and sustainably produced without harvesting or extraction that would harm the marine environment's biodiversity.

"This investment represents our commitment to nurturing the next generation of beauty brands," said Brandon Ford, chief accelerator director at Lubrizol Skin Essentials, in a statement. "As more customers turn to clean beauty and socially-committed companies, we see this as a compelling opportunity in this space."

One Ocean was founded by industry veteran Marcella Cacci, who was most notably instrumental in repositioning Burberry and taking it public in 2002. Cacci was also responsible for establishing Burberry Beauty, a $500 million business unit.

"We are excited to launch a new business model that is in tune with changing customer behaviors," said Marcella Cacci, founder and CEO, One Ocean Beauty.

One Ocean is now available online with price points ranging from just under $40 for the cleanser to $300 for the complete skin care system which includes collagen nutritional supplements. The company has partnered with Oceana, an organization dedicated to restoring and protecting the oceans, and is also offering hats and tees to benefit Oceana's efforts.
