Vetements will show off-schedule at Paris men's fashion week

Vetements is fond of the element of surprise and creating an event experience, and the coming season will be no different: After having showed during women's fashion week, couture, and skipped out on last season, Demna Gvasalia will be making a comeback during the men's fashion week in January 2018. But this will finally be off-calendar.

The Spring 2018 collection - Vetements

Rejecting the 'routine' of fashion week, the Georgian designer often changes his tune, announcing this season a co-ed show during Paris men's, but also readying an event that is surprising both in terms of its location and its staging. A touch too much? In any case, it's too far away, according to information received by FashionNetwork.com. The show will take place in the north of Paris and fits neither the proximity criteria nor therefore the timing, alongside other events, imposed by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (Federation of haute couture and fashion).

Sustaining the mystery surrounding the event, which might be off-calendar but won't be less well-attended, the label has yet to give any further details of the format of the show or the date, even if January 19 was pencilled in - but not confirmed. But it will be an evening event, as is often the case for the most highly anticipated fashion week shows.

The location is puzzling, far from the romantic Parisian centre, and may even be held outside, for an added touch of fancy amongst the January frost. Vetements is indeed set of drawing the buyers and press into its disruptive street universe - or at least, those brave enough to step out of the official calendar, and out of Paris.
