In its first creative collaboration, Fortnight has created a collection of lingerie with plus-sized supermodel Candice Huffine. The new collection is intended to inspire confidence in women.

Huffine was already sharing her love of Fortnight’s lingerie on Instagram before being approached by the brand’s founder Christina Remenyi. Remenyi proposed creating a collection with Huffine that would elevate everyday underwear into something more resembling lingerie, while still being comfortable.

The resulting collection includes a mix of bras, underwear, bodysuits and slips, rendered in black or beige with a subtle hand-painted leopard pattern. Prices range from $42 for the bikini cut underwear, to $178 for the slip.

The inclusion of the leopard pattern is a key component of the collection’s branding, as Huffine felt inspired by the saying “A leopard never changes its spots.” The collaboration with Huffine is meant to help women feel comfortable in their own skin.

“We want women to know that they are beautiful in every shape and form – Just as a leopard never changes its spots, we shall never change who we are,” the American model says.

Fortnight Lingerie is designed and manufactured in Canada, with each piece handmade by women. The brand is known for its inclusive sizing, an issue which has become more important for many fashion brands, particularly as models like Huffine and Ashley Graham increase the visibility of plus-size women.
