The San Francisco-based skincare company is asking its fans to upload makeup-free selfies with the hashtag #RFGoNaked. For every selfie posted, Rodan + Fields will donate a dollar to Prescription for Change® (PFC) Foundation.

Rodan + Fields began the initiative in 2008, and since then has donated $3.1 million to the foundation. The PFC Foundation works to break the cycle of poverty for teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds. The #RFGoNaked initiative has also helped the non-profit establish five new locations for its youth programs since its inception. The PFC Foundation also works with fellow non-profit buildOn to provide opportunities for impoverished youth.

The skincare company specializes in dermatology-based products and encourages its users to post pictures showing the improvement in their skin since they began using the products. The company also provides expert support and through its RF Connection platform online.

In April, Rodan + Fields was named the number one skincare company in the US by market research company Euromonitor. The company was founded by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Katy Fields in 2002 and acquired by Estée Lauder in 2003. Its founders reacquired the brand in 2007 and now sell their products direct to the consumer. In 2016, the brand earned $1 billion in revenue.
