Quiz sets foot in Ayr, sees Black Friday week surge
Dec 6, 2016
Rapidly growing fast fashion womenswear retailer Quiz has added another two stores to its estate. The company has opened its 20th standalone Scottish store with a debut in Ayr in a space covering 2,500 sq ft, and has also opened its doors in Athlone, Ireland.
They bring the number of stores opened this year to 40 and take the UK/Ireland total to 75, excluding concessions.
The Glasgow-based company currently has 300 stores overall in 20 countries, as well as concessions in House of Fraser and Debenhams stores.
Sheraz Ramzan, business development director at the firm, said: “We have an ambitious rollout plan and over the last 12 months have opened new standalone stores and concessions as well as continuing with refurbishments across our existing estate.”
Quite operates an omnichannel model that also takes in online, wholesale and franchise. New eveningwear and trend-led casual daywear pieces are developed in-house and dropped in-store/online on a daily basis.
The fast expansion it has seen this year helped its Black Friday sales to rise 90% year-on-year online and total brand sales to increase 80% for Black Friday week.
