Manhattan Beach, CA-based Old Bull Lee is expanding its product line to include a new offering of men's boardshorts.

The new boardshorts feature quick dry lightweight stretch fabric and self-draining pockets. They have a drawstring closure with a button free batwing fly design. The slim silhouette hits just above the knee making them perfect for coastal lifestyle as well as for performing in the water.

They are offered in sophisticated blues and yellow solid colors as well as in vintage-inspired prints.

The addition of a boardshorts category is a natural expansion for the California brand that has been manufacturing men's casual and button-down shirts and shorts for the past few years.

"We have been doing shorts and shirts for a while, but here in our home state and the coastal areas in general, leisure activity is very beach and surf oriented and we hadn't adequately addressed that" said Lee W. Johnson, Old Bull Lee's founder.

Old Bull Lee focuses on making quality products alongside creative storytelling. While it would seem obvious for a Manhattan Beach, CA-based menswear apparel company to manufacture boardshorts, its product rollout and brand storytelling show a strategic approach to developing authentic product that consumers respond to.

V.P. of Marketing, Brian Richwien says, "We have a relationship with our customers, 60% of our sales come from returning clientele. We realize we aren't their only choice, so we have to maintain their trust if we want to keep their business. Giving them quality for the sake of quality is the smart thing to do."

Old Bull Lee's boardshorts retail for $59 to $67 and are available now on the company's website.
